About me

Hi. My name is Paul Makovich. I'm a software generalist. I program computers.
Just scroll up to read my other texts.

Enterprise apps are the first half of my career. I have a strong gut feeling of forces driving Brooks's and Conway's laws, and may see now the difference between Fowler's and Evans's repository pattern flavors.

The range of problems solved there lies between on the fly hand drawn UIs and deep query plans optimisation, presales estimating activities and setting build pipelnes up, top to bottom project planning with precise granularity and executing multi-month work for a small team of five.

The second side of me lives in system programming. Alpine Linux internals and embedded systems, PLT in general and Rust, Lua, shell scripting in particular, immutability of Nix and Kubernetes' convergability. I'm very converted to the vim. Take a look at my GitHub profile.

Outside of engineering and software box my interests are Human Physiology, Math, Psyche. I love kind and honest people, Jervis' Bandcamp weekly, explain complexities simply. Pixels are my friend's gift.
